I saw some of this. On one hand it was very interesting. On the other hand I find the debate between atheism and theism a mess. There are trying to integrate perspectives rather than split them apart. Why not include them on the panel.
One aspect of Reza's part that I appreciated was his seeming unwillingness to argue with anything included within Sam's perspective except the purely factual errors and Sam's persistence in piss-poor lines of thought. Reza wasn't arguing with atheism, he was arguing with Sam.
Sam, on the other hand, is arguing with religion, which doesn't get anyone anywhere. Well, I guess it gets Sam on bestseller shelves, but that's an empty victory when it comes down to it.
Which, of course, is why an integral debater never really gets anywhere. No matter how hard you try to “integrate” perspectives, anyone first-tier will see you as simply disagreeing with them.
